You took your seat in class, not helping but to hear your classmates sharing a word or two about the Kira with each other under their breath. In fact, ever since this Kira incident had occured, everyone had something to say to their friends or family about it. Not to mention the fact it was constantly on the news. You sighed and pushed back into your seat and tapped the eraser end of your pencil on the surface of your desk. //What is taking so long?// you thought and crossed your legs under the desk. You sat quietly, waiting for class to begin. But that was when, you noticed him. Three desks away to your right was a thin and tall student you’ve never noticed before. His hair was feral and onyx, clearly it hadn’t been brushed recently. Underneath his eyes, were thick black lines that indicated possible insomnia. His clothes almost seemed like they were sleepwear. Not to mention the old white and untied shoes he wore. But what caught your attention most, was his abnormal position of sitting in a school chair. You were taken aback as he kept his hands on his knees, and continued to stay curled in his chair. You tried to see where he was staring, but you couldn’t quite tell with the blank expression on his pale face. Since it seemed as if everyone else had a reason to be talking, you figured why not try talking with him? Getting up, you began to slowly approach him and despite the obviousness that you were walking towards him, he continued to stare at whatever it was that was so interesting to him. You cleared your throat, and tapped his shoulder lightly. No one seemed to notice you, just a few glances. “Hi. I’m __, I haven’t seen you around here much. Are you new?” you didn’t want to seem pushy, but then again he did seem like the quiet type...
He quickly looked up with wide eyes, almost as if he never seen a girl in his life. But the tone of his voice was entirely different from his expression. He sounded very... Relaxed. “Yes. It’s nice to meet you, __.” you were a little frustrated he didn’t tell you his name.
You stood there for a while, waiting to see if he’d introduce himself but seeming he’d need a little more of a conversation, you continued talking. “So would you um... Like a tour maybe?” you shrugged, taking the empty seat beside him.
He stared at you for a while and nodded. “Sounds like a plan.”
“Ms. __, can I ask why you are out of your seat?” you flinched and suddenly realized everyone was quiet. //Can I ask why you’re so late?// you thought and avoided speaking what you thought, since you had quite the habit of it. You stayed quiet and stood up, walking back to your seat quietly. “And as for you, Mr. Hideki, I’m expecting a good first impression.”
//Hideki? Well, that’s something.// you thought and put your books on the desk. You pulled out a pencil and began writing down notes. You occasionally looked at Hideki from the corner of your eye, but he continued to stare at the teacher and write down things.
Once class was dismissed, you immediately gathered together your notes and other supplied and held them in your arm and walked towards Hideki. “Hey.” you mustered on a smile and waved sheepishly. You pulled a strand of your (HL), (HC) hair behind your ear and watched as he stood up. “So are you um, ready for that tour?” you asked and walked beside him out of the classroom.
Hideki glanced at you, and continued to stay silent for a moment. “Lead the way.” he offered and you giggled a little, speeding in front of him and showing him down the school halls.
“This is the cafeteria.” you showed him and opened the heavy door, some of the middle school students playing chess at the far table towards the end. “And down there,” you pointed at the end of the hall. “that’s homeroom.”
He nodded and stayed silent throughout the tour, giving occasional grunts of approval and frequent nodding as you showed him around. By the end of the day, you and Hideki had practically traveled the entire school building. “Thank you for the tour, __.” he nodded and the two of you walked outside onto the sidewalk. “I’m afraid I should be heading back home, now.” he told you and began to walk the opposite direction.
You watched him and raced after Hideki, grabbing his shoulder and stopping him. Hideki turned, a confused expression on his face. “So where do you live, Hideki?” you felt your heart skip a little as you said his name.
Before Hideki answered you, a loud beeping came from behind you and you turned with a frown on your lips to see your mom in her car waiting for you. “Come on __, I have dinner in the oven!” she rushed you, not even noticing Hideki.
You sighed and waved goodbye to Hideki before you opened the shotgun door and shutting it. “Bye Hideki.” you waved and he waved back, watching you drive off until you disappeared down the road.
“Bye, __...”

Death Note Seven Minutes in Heaven L
“I think it's about time we start. Wouldn't you all agree?” Ryuk took a large bite of his apple. “Hmm, now who should I make play first? How about you then, you look less terrified of me than the others.” He let out a loud cackle.
“No, I'm sure I'm just as scared of you as they are.” Slightly hesitant to approach a death god, you walked up slowly. You shrunk back a bit as Ryuk held out the wicker basket of items. Just wanting to get away from his large, boring eyes, you grabbed whatever you could and almost ran towards the closet. “I got some suckers that are all tapped together.”

You were happy that the park wasn't far away from school, just two miles to be exact. You quickly drove to school and parked in your parking spot, making sure you parked symmetrical (LOL Death The Kid) to the cars you were between. You gathered up your things, turned off the car, and ran full speed towards your school's entrance. You creep quietly into (teacher that you hate) class, hoping that your teacher didn't see you. Thankfully your teacher was not there, but a substitute was. She was reading a book while your classmates had conversations. You sat in your seat that was in the

I don't know where the fuck this came from... Earlier today I was talking with my friend about how there aren't many decent L x Reader fanfictions that we could find. (That's just us, I'm sure there are lots of good L x Readers out there.) So in conclusion, I decided what the hell? And made this. The title was completely made on the top of my head, no reason or message hidden behind it... That's pretty much it. Tell me if you guys want to read a part two.
